Thumbs up Battle Gorge's Omega Suggestion List

Hello. Im brand new to the forums here so if any of my ideas have been suggested already please let me know. Id appreciate *constructive criticism* for any of my listed ideas. Possibley if my ideas are great enough we could get this stickied and get some attention from the GW devs

Unlocked Transfer - Well we all know the 4 player character max is a very large pain. Especially when youre a serious pvper and you would like to test out multiple builds and yet refuse to delete those hard worked RPG characters. I think maybe for a $15(?) fee we should be able to transfer our unlocked items and skills to another account. I believe the staff would deeply appreciate this method because first of all you pay $50 for the second cd, then an additional $15 to transfer the unlocks. Ofcourse with some limitations, I believe this idea can work very well. (ie: password, house address, and/or serial key required from the primary account in order to complete the transfer to the second account) This would prevent all that ebay crap.

Skill Set Creation - Oh man. I cant even think of how many times I could have put this to use. I think we all could appreciate the ability to create skill sets in game then save them and swap skill sets for later use. This is a fairly simple suggestion but I never heard anyone speak of it yet. Correct me if im wrong.

Disable All Chat for Tombs - Sure, why not? I was reading a post earlier today on this forum about the complaint of immature children spamming the old "alt-f4 prank". What use do we have for all chat in tombs anyway? The only thing it creates is racial remarks (ie: us vs korea), childish pranks, spamming, and more. Ofcourse we can disable all chat but honestly, I dont think we even need it for tombs. In which it should just be disabled while playing it.

Groups for Friends List - This is a very minor addition but I would really love to see it. I dont know about anyone else but I have about 20 people on my friends list. I would love the ability to organize my friends list into catagories. ie: john smith and jane smith placed under *skilled pvpers* or smith john and smith jane under *rpg buddies*.

Groups for Party List - Yeah, those 8 player lists sure are confusing. Im sure EVERYONE would appreciate the ability for team leaders to seperate the party list into groups. Why? It makes it easier to read, easier for planning and executing tactics, easier for healers, and the list goes on. Honestly, I couldnt see a reason to not add this because its just simply an incredibley
helpful addition.

**added**
Guild Vault - I think this has been suggested before, but then again Im not sure. This would be a great addition for storing a guild money pool and items. Ofcourse the only way this would work is by giving "take rights" only to guild leader and high officers. All members in guild should have "give rights" (being able to drop items in the vault). If anyone has played Ryzom, they would know where Im coming from.

That sums it up for now. I had more ideas but stupid as I am, I never write them down. If I think of more Ill be sure to edit and add them. Thanks for reading and remember *constructive* criticism please.

Those are all excellent ideas. I see no shortcomings with any of them, although I don't PVP so I can't really comment on "Disable All Chat for Tombs," or "Groups for Party List."

This is just for more character slots, right? In that case, wouldn't it be simpler to have the option to purchase another game key and bind it to your existing account (like we did for preorder keys) to unlock another four slots?

No. First, nothing you could do would prevent the ebay crap you talk about, and second, it certainly shouldn't cost RL money.

The only idea I agree with you, saving skill bars would be a blessing. Also, saving your own PvP templates.

What? Why? Just disable it if it bothers you, you say we don't NEED Tombs chat, but do we really need ANY chat? I mean, why bother? It's just people socializing, or selling stuff we probably don't actually need. Seriously though, I like to talk to people, especially if I'm playing people I know, it makes Tombs a lot more fun, especially if we're going up against the devs, or a rival guild.

No opinion really.. I don't know that many people would use it, because when I friend add people, it's because they're, oh, my friends? And I know why.

Good groups in high-end PvP build their groups specifically to organize their jobs. Also, you should bind keys to every party member if it's bothering you, I switched F1-F8 to target the party members.

Ok, I lied, second idea we agree on, and it has been suggested, but more times can never hurt, this would be really, really nice. Also, a merchant and xunlai agent storage in guild.

Deluxe Districts - Guild Wars is a great game and I love the no monthly fees. But unfortunatley the community is absolute crap. Because of these zero monthly fees that we all appreciate very much, it attracts the much younger population whom arent exactly the most fun to be around with. Which is why I believe additional *deluxe* districts should be added to the game. To be honest, I am willing to pay maybe $10 monthly in order to play with mature players and enjoy guild wars without fustration. Ofcourse, this will not prevent children completley but will reduce most of them.
Seriously, this idea is terrible. First, it's not preventing the problem you wrote about, as it doesn't actually limit any immature kids from entering these areas, and second, they would be near desolate. The deluxe communities you want can be found under the ignore list, and the chat window functions.

Honestly, youre not going to get any more character slots before expansion without paying for it. And i personally have a few builds in mind that I would like to test out for pvp, but unfortunatley I have no room and I am not deleting my hard worked RPG character. Im curious how you bought the cd for 50 but would have a fuss for 65. And for the post above, i completley forgot about the ability to add beta serial keys. This would be a nice implement but then again a second account equals more storage also.

Yeah? Can you give me a broad percentage of exactly how many times this is the case?

Actually the matter is that I like organization. I dont simply forget who the people are on my friends list.

Unfortunatley, I dont remember the F key placements on my funky keyboard. Especially when I use the arrow keys to move then I have to look down completley to find the F button im looking for is quite detracting when youre playing the role as a healer. Then again this is another organization factor.

Actually, the districts wouldnt be desolate at all. And as a matter of fact it does. The younger population dont have credit cards. Mommy and Daddy dont believe in using their CC for products online that they cant identify.
And the ignore list only works for whispers, unless they changed it. This has nothing to do with spamming nonsense in all chat. Its about playing missions with more mature players that would make missions and such less fustrating.
I do agree this is kind of a stupid idea, but i figured what the hell. I know many people who would agree on me with this. Plus, why would children beg their parents to pay monthly for something *they* dont even get extra.

Nope. We should not be robbed of our freedom to interact with our enemies simply to insulate you from imagined antagonists. If it bothers you so much - turn it off yourself. Don't try and have it taken away from the rest of us.

And would you be willing to pay $10 a month to play GW by yourself? Because that's essentially what you'd be doing.

I think if the game rating is rated Mature/adult will be better... maybe add a hell lot of violent stuffs or whatever.. This will cause some parents not buying the game for their kids...but of cos, my idea will surely cost less sales for anet

haha just my lame opinion...dun take it seriously

I met a few people who would actually pay monthly to play with mature players. If you have any idea of the population size for guild wars, im sure theres a decent percentage who also would play these districts because they are fed up. Anyways, thanks for the input. Im removing the idea because yes it is pretty stupid. Figured id through it in the air because some people told me to.

this realy isnt fair, even though, i usaly have no idea what any one form koria is saying, i like to be able to wish them good luck, before we battle, i dont want to have to sit there looking at my team yelling at me, or my team chat alone, i think its horible and unworented when some one uses cheating to win, or some one tants the enemy before we fight, but with freedom you have resopnsibalitys, and alot of people respect those resopnsibalitys, by wishing luck, or saying good game, and that makes me proud to fight them. or even to lose to them.

A nice idea, but I guess the server would only save 4 sets per character, and then they'd have to make a few keys up. If it does happen, then that is a great idea.
